Pasco County Fire and Rescue

Pasco County Fire Rescue Squad1 was toned out to assist multiple companies on scene of a heavy vehicle extrication which involved a SUV under a tractor trailer. SQ1 arrived on scene in about 20 minutes into the incident where the arriving crews already had the doors removed, but were still having trouble getting the patient out due to being pinned under the dash and tractor trailer. Sq1 Capt.Epperson instructed his crew to grab the Paratech MultiForce airbag and to deflate the tires on the suv. Next the MultiForce bag was deployed along with cribbing the hood of the SUV over the engine block where we were able to lift the semi enough to perform a dash push enough to extricate the critical pt. All crews involved and the quick high lift of the bag saved the pt. Who we are proud to say survived to be with her family again.
