Rescue Award
On 1/1/2020, Rescue 1 responded to an auto vs. pedestrian with a report of a person pinned under the auto, just up the road from Pawaa Station #2. Upon arrival, it was determined that the patient was prone under the vehicle, driver side, trauma to face and chest with driver front tire pinning his right femur. Auto was chocked and stabilized and the MultiForce was placed on the running board under the B post to achieve a two-wheel lift.
10 minutes after arrival, the auto was lifted, stabilized, and the critical patient was transferred to EMS. The quick lift and set-up of the MultiForce airbag reinforced the training we received from Paratech just a month prior!
The boys did well and everyone is stoked on the equipment.
