Point Pleasant Fire Protection District / Northern Kentucky Technical Rescue

Dispatched to assist with worker stuck in asphalt silo, with large block of asphalt pinning his leg. Two Florence rescuers were inside the silo with the patient, but unable to free his leg from the asphalt. NKTRT responded and used Paratech LongShore and AcmeThread struts to build a tripod with hydraulic jacks and was able to lift the asphalt chunks off the patient, allowing rescuers inside the silo to free and extract the patient. Patient had a full recovery.
