Channelview Fire Department

All units were dispatched to an 18 wheeler that rolled over on Beltway 8. The weather was heavy rain and below freezing temperatures. All units arrived to find a dual trailer 18 wheeler on its side with the driver trapped underneath. The 18 wheeler was resting on the Jersey barrier but the driver was trapped with half of his body inside the cab and the other through the rear window. We used the multiforce air bag and cribbing to raise the cab and extricate the driver. The driver was transported to the Texas Medical Center with minor injuries.
