On Tuesday January 30th 2024 at approximately 17:48 companies were dispatched to Box 261, for a reported motor vehicle accident with a person trapped under a vehicle, in the area of 4414 Bergen Tpke. North Bergen, upon arrival Battalion 2 established command, conducted a size-up and confirmed that one person was trapped under a vehicle and that rescue air bags would be needed. the crew of Rescue 1 and Squad 1 used high pressure air lifting bags (Multi-Force), jacks, auto cribbing, and struts to lift, crib and stabilize the vehicle. after the lifting operation was completed 2 members went under the vehicle to aid and secure the severely injured 60 year old female patient to a backboard. the patient was then removed to awaiting EMS personnel and was transported to a trauma center within the golden hour. therefore as a result of there outstanding company operation and teamwork and quick and decisive life saving actions I am recommending the following companies be recognized for their actions. Battalion 2, Rescue 1, and Squad 1.
