Rogers fire was dispatched to a rollover on 94. While enroute, Rescue 12 was updated that 2 patients were in the car, which was on its roof, and needed to be extricated. Rescue 12 arrived on scene and observed a convertible vehicle on its roof, with 2 patients needing rapid extrication. Rescue 12 officer , Lieutenant Joel Ende, made a gameplan to use Paratech air bags to lift the car and gain access to extricate the patient. Lieutenant Ende with the help of the Driver, Lieutenant Aaron Ende, and firefighters Kaari Granlund, Kyler Granlund, and Eric Smith, successfully used the Paratech high lift airbags to lift the rear of the vehicle evenly and safely to access the patients. The crew of Engine 22 was then able to safely remove the patients from the vehicle Without the ability to lift the rear of the vehicle high and evenly, there is no doubt that the outcome of this incident would have been different.
