Arlington Fire and rescue along with West Yadkin, Yadkin EMS, Yadkin Rescue, and Buck Shoals was dispatched to a MVA on I77 at the 77 mile marker. Dispatched advised the MVA was going to be a car vs tractor trailer. Upon arrival units found an under ride scenario with patient still in vehicle entrapped with the roof of the vehicle laying on top of her and crews immediately went to work. Using Paratech struts the crush was stopped and units then set up hydra fusions and the paratech multiforce airbag to get ready to lift trailer so the car could get pulled out. Using paratech ratchets the suspension of the car was captured and a grip hoist was set up to pull car from under trailer. Hurst e3 spreader was used to gain access to passenger side of the car to gain access to patient so medics could start patient care. Once everyone was ready trailer was lifted and the car was removed from under the trailer. Using a combination of hurst spreader cutter and ram patient was fully extricated from the car and turned over to Yadkin EMS for transport.
