On 9/27/2019 Saddle River Fire Department responded to Route 17 North at E Allendale Rd for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment. SRPD, Chief Salvatori and Assistant Chief Kaufman arrived on scene to find a tractor trailer that went off the highway and struck multiple trees with one occupant trapped within the vehicle. Rescue 1142 and Engine 1131arrived on scene stabilized the dislodged tractor and extricated one patient that was turned over to the care of BLS and ALS.
