Whitehouse Rescue Squad

From HR225 incident report narrative:
On December 11, 2023 at approximately 0947 hours, 22 rescue was dispatched to Route 22 eastbound & Mountain road for the motor vehicle accident, pick up truck on top of a sedan with entrapment. Heavy rescue 225 went responding without incident. Upon arrival, crews found a pickup truck on top of a sedan against a guard rail. The pick up truck had extensive damage to the passenger side of the vehicle with the driver currently out of the vehicle. The sedan was observed to have heavy front end damage, still under the pickup truck with the driver entrapped in the driver side compartment. A 360 of the scene was completed and found no hazards. The rescue crew from Heavy rescue 225 began stabilizing the pickup truck utilizing three Paratech struts. One to the front and rear wheel well and a third to the frame of the vehicle. Superior towing was on scene and utilized their heavy duty rotator wrecker to further stabilize the pickup truck. A winch was attached to the sedan from Heavy Rescue 225. Vehicle skates were placed under the rear wheels of the sedan to assist pulling the vehicle away from the pickup truck. Before moving the sedan Ems crews were placed inside of the sedan to cover and assess the patient. Once the sedan was removed from the pickup truck, step chocks and wedges were placed under the sedan for stabilization. Once the drivers door was open the driver of the sedan was transferred to an awaiting stretcher and EMTs. Crew from Heavy rescue 225 then removed vehicle stabilization and turned the scene over to superior towing. Heavy Rescue 225 cleared and went available. No further action.
